Our attorneys assist step-parents or relatives who are seeking to adopt a child or children in their care.

Alternatively, we are also committed to defending a parent who objects to the termination of his or her parental rights when an adoption would not be in the child's best interests.

The adoption process typically involves two phases: first, the child to be adopted must be deemed "available" for adoption, which may occur when a biological parent consents to relinquish his or her parental rights or when the Court determines that a parent's rights should be terminated. Once this occurs, the child may be legally adopted into the new family.
